I'm curious to see if anyone has studied other languages during their time in Korea, in particular those who have attended classes. I remember reading some who have taken Japanese classes in Seoul. What kind of classes have you taken, or wish to take? Were the classes instructed entirely in the target language, or in Korean?

I offer a free Arabic class every other week... I have a couple of students.. It is rather informal.

Yes I've seen your posts. I thought about doing those classes but then reconsidered, since tackling 3 languages might be a bit cumbersome.

Before studying with anyone, I would ask about the skills that students could demonstrate at the end of the class and then consider how highly I value those skills at the specified level.

If something is valuable to you, then it is worth more than something that you do not value (and that is how I value things).

What language are you interested in? I have started up one language exchange and am considering another. I am offered opportunities to study quite a few languages with uni educated native speakers.

I tried an Esperanto club, but I lost interest when I learned that most Koreans who study Esperanto study English also.
Practicing a second language isn't as much fun if you have a first language for a safety net.

Korean Japanese teachers operate exactly like Korean English teachers:
everything is translated into Korean, instructions are in Korean, and conversation is in Korean.
That's okay with me; I get two languages for the price of one.
