Judging is not a bad thing when done objectively. People vote against their interests all the time. Pointing that out is a beneficial to them, even if it comes from someone more educated than the masses (or, an "elitist.")

I wonder how many voters from the 1980's would rather have the USA not trillions in debt today due to Reaganomics, or would be able to see their social security checks in the future.

I like my leaders to be elite as long as they look out for the average Joe. I could give a rats ass if they are fun to have at a football game or BBQ.
