My friend pulled a runner and left me with 700 ml of Scotch Whiskey (that I'd given him for Chuseok ) and I wouldn't finish it in the 6 months I have left here because he also gave me some opened bottles which come to about 500 ml between the 3 of them.
So here's the deal. I want to get rid of the big bottle which cost me 35,000. I think we can start the bidding at 32,000 since the plastic is taken off the box but the bottle and glasses are still mint. |

Well you're the highest bidder so far. I ain't shipping it though cause that'd cost 1 arm and the better part of a leg. |

| Well I guess... but I'd insist that it was labeled fragile and that'd probably cost extra. I mean if someone REALLY wants it shipped I could... I suppose. |

You want to "start the bidding at 32,000" for an item that costs 35,000 from the store? |

| A 3,000 Won discount? Why not just buy a new one and save time and the hassle. |

| I think I saw this for sale at Costco without the glasses for like 25 bucks. I missed out on the handle of Jack for $90... What a deal(not). |

Jack Daniels at Costco costs 45,000 won for a 1000ml bottle. I didn't see a Chivas set with glasses there last week.
The problem with shipping liquor isn't the price, it's the postman's taste for liquor. |

Costco were selling a litre bottle of Chivas with a glass for 48,000 in the run up to Chuseok. I haven't seen it since.
I think now they're just selling the 700's for around 38K.
The best option would be to invite some friends around and have a party, or give it to a Korean friend / employer. most koreans are impressed by a gift of Chivas. |
