I recently had a friend drop me off a can of slim-fast powder.

Man they are great because I never want to eat breakfast before work and my wife will force me to drink one down instead of eating breakfast which I prefer.

Has anyone seen this stuff for public consumption? Is there a Koran version? You would think this country would be nuts over something like slim-fast. That's some money right there, bringing it into this country.... market it right. Have a commercial with a girl cutting herself and crying looking into her pale face she thinks is too fat and too dark. Then have some sexy Korean pop star flavor of the week hand her a slimfast shake.

Then it fast forwards to the girl driving off in a lexus with a Dr. boyfriend in tow.

Anyway, that's besides the point? Anyone seen it outside of the base? Any substitutes?

I saw some this weekend at the red door store in Itaewon. Didn't ask how much it was but they had strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. I've also seen it at the foreign market place in Jeongja.

You could just buy a stick of korean sushi for $1-2 on your way to work....that's what I do for breakfast.

I saw some in the small store in front of Hannam Supermarket on Sunday. Didn't check prices though.

Don't bother with it. Just convince yourself that the only food available is Korean. This way, you won't want to eat much of anything anymore once you get sick of eatomg after a couple of weeks.
