1)
juice from fresh squeezed grapefruit
juice from freshly squeezed lemon
six cubes of pineapple cut roughly the size of a large strawberry
one small banana
half a cup of orange juice (sugarless is better, the banana and pineapple have enough lemon in it)
and if you want a hangover cure add a clove of pressed garlic in there- it doesn't taste that bad
2)
six strawberries
six ice cubes
one banana
cover it all with pineapple juice |

I don't have recipes for smoothies, but a frozen banana broken into chunks, and a little vanilla usually improve any recipe. For that matter, frozen and pureed bananas are pretty great on their own |

Blend it all together, and it makes a yummy meal |

Frozen Banana
Other frozen fruit...blueberries, strawberries, melon, etc
some vanilla
walnuts or almonds
oatmeal
Milk or Yogurt (I usually just add a bit of water)

If you can find buttermilk, this is a great one.
small banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup buttermilk
3-4 ice cubes
a little bit of sugar. (Taste it first and see if you want any)
Delicious. |

Buy those little Dannon yogurt cups (I prefer strawberry) and keep them in the freezer.
1 Frozen Dannon yogurt cup
1 banana
4-8 strawberries
=
deliciousness
extra points for oranges, pineapples, kiwis, or whatever other tropical fruit you throw in there. |

4 or 5 frozen strawberries
a squirt or two of lime juice
a hand full of ice
a squirt of honey
your preferred sweetener (i use equal, but anything will do)
cold water poured to just above the top of everything in the blender
Blend
Enjoy!
Note, i'm not really a big fan of super sweet things so you may want to put more of whatever you want in. Anyways, it's a great drink to make for the afternoon to wind down after work. |

Also try kiwi, banana, strawberry with pineapple juice smoothies. Good luck finding the strawberries in this country at this time of year though. |
