It's just lately lots of posters seem to be looking for any little irregularity in a posting to verbally beat people over inconsequential issues.
I miss the days when the trolls were amusing and not such sadistic masturbation artists. |

You call that grammar!?
Nah, I'm just kidding. Dave's is a cesspool. I come here for information and to blow off steam.
1. Dave's is not an accurate representation of teachers in Korea,
2. The opinions on Dave's are not credible or objective most of the time,
3. Dave's is oversaturated with depressing and overly critical posters,
and
4. Most teachers in Korea stay away from Dave's for the previous reasons. |

Unfortunately. There is some good info on Dave's if you sift through things, and I wish more people knew about it and stood up for themselves.
About winning a conversation? You gain having the other person become more firmly set in their opinion. No one ever says, "Gee, thanks for pointing out my stupidity in such a clear manner and proving me wrong, now I can live a more enlightened life." |

90% of the responses on this board are useless personal attacks. Tis a shame. |

Yeah, I remember a few years back when even the people you disagreed with could lob some appreciated and well deserved insults. Seems like things have went to "romper room" lately. Is it some kind of a cultural or demographic shift in the people who are flocking to Korea? I have noticed that have come this year aren't as overtly arrogant as they used to be. Seems like they are pretty scared about the situation back home with the markets and all. |
