I was given a position to work in Ulsan, and I got everything ready, and was even given an e-2 visa when I sent my documents to the Korean Embassy. Turns out that I was rejected.
Now, what I want to know is whether the Visa that was put in my passport is any good at all, considering that I sent all the documents to the Korean Embassy, and did not get my CRC and other things (which is what they're supposed to keep anyways).
I ask this because I'll probably just look for another place to go in South Korea. |

You have the E2 in your passport? Who rejected you, the school?
IF that is in fact the case, you will have to hope that:
a) they cancel the visa / sponsorship
or
b) wait 90 days for the visa to expire and try again.
You cannot work for another employer on that visa.

Well, it was from the Ministry of Ulsan, and I guess they already cancelled my Visa. Now, my question is whether or not i have to get another CRC apostillized and all that other stuff? |

Ttom: Can the rejection letter serve as an LOR that he can present when he applies for a new position? |

He was not very specific as to the circumstances so a little of my answer was speculation based on the assumption that he actually has a visa in his passport and also assuming he did NOT come to Korea.
He never entered Korea to activate the visa (assuming he actually has a visa in his passport and not just a letter of invitation or visa confirmation number) and they (immigration) won't issue 2 simultaneous visas.
He can apply for a new job. If the visa confirmation wasn't canceled he will know soon enough because they will reject the new application. He will have to wait 90 days.
If it was canceled then he can get a new one.
Either way he will have to submit new documents.

Ttompatz, you're right. I have not gone to Korea yet, and I have a visa in my passport which is more than likely useless now. I'm guessing that I have to wait 90 days to apply for another job in South Korea? |

Did they have a reason for rejecting you? |

Apparently my recruiter said nothing about when I was supposed to go, though the expected arrival date was september 21. I was cautious about signing a contract that was not to my expectations, but upon learning that it was deemed a decent contract (days later) I signed it and went to get my visa.
They rejected me because I was supposed to cover someone's job when they left on september 26, but I could not leave until that very friday.
If I were to try to apply for another visa with another school, would I need a letter of rejection from the Ministry of Ulsan or so? |

What ministry? There is no ministry of Ulsan.
Were you initially hired by the school (public), city (public school), provincial office of education (public school), government office/program (EPIK / TALK) or by some hakwon (private school)?

Sorry, not the ministry, but the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education. |
