From Seoul, need to get to the Incheon airport by bus but would prefer cheapest way. I know of, what is it, bus #605-1 or something, costs 5000 won takes 1:30 hours. I know it runs somewhere though MyoungDong.
In particular would like to find a similar bus from the Sinchon area, on Monday morning.
Anyone know? Or of any other ways to the airport at similar price? |

I'm NOT speaking from years of experience, but I just don't think there is a cheaper way to get to the airport, excepting the case where a friend/co-worker/boss takes you in their own personal vehicle.
There are a lot of people on this board who have been here years, so they may have other ideas. I don't think you can get cheaper than 5000 Won. |

Less than 5000 won? If you really really want to save an extra 1000 won or so, you could ride the subway to Incheon, get off at the Gyesan stop (maybe an 1100 ride from Shinchon?), come up at exit 5 and catch bus 302 or 111 (they have red and white signs on them), and pay an additional 2400 won. It'll take you straight to the airport, about a 40 minute trip. So about 3500 won, all in.
Seems to me you can't beat a direct ride on a bus from Seoul though. I wouldn't want to carry my crap on the subway, or change buses with a lot of luggage. |

| hehe funny stuff. Thanks alot for the subway replies, wealth of information. But honestly I never said for "LESS" than 5000 won anywhere. I just asked what is anyone's favorite AND cheap way to the airport, at a similar price range of 5000w. In other words I am not interested in express service which costs 15000, that's all. Thanks. |

| I take the Airport Shuttle Bus from my house to the airport. I walk about 5mins to the bus stop and cost was 6-7k won last time I took it. |

The shuttle from Gimpo to Incheon is not free. It'd be nice if it was, but I've done that many times and it costs between 3 and 5,000 for the ride.

That's a hell of a lot of money for the Seoul-Incheon bus trip, are you sure that's right?
I used to live about 30 minutes south of Seoul and the airport bus from there to Incheon cost 7,000. I would have thought it would be less from the centre of Seoul... |

It's 11,000 from Itaewon. Come-on you fukin cheapskate. You want to save $5 and spend another hour on a bus? You're not taking about $50 cab ride here, it's a $10 bus trip, thats one good beer, to save an hour. Yikes

Which is a good price and very convenient if you are coming from out of town. I know there is a bus from Gwangju to Incheon airport, but the schedule is NOT convenient! But youcan get off the Gwangju bus and get right on the airport shuttle, and even check in if you are flying Korean or Asiana.
But...and I know this is stupid...you NEED to have the cash for the airport shuttle. I was stuck in Gangnam with only a US cash card...it is amusing in retrospect only because I did not actually die of a stroke: |

I live about 30min to incheon airport.
There's an airport bus stop 1min walk from my apartment it costs 2000won.
