What in the hell are you talking about?

Comprehension problems. As expected from gopher.

As for Summer Wine's questions:
1. What part of his population has he decided to judge and condemn? Muslims?

2. Do you mean the country he offered aid to (being the first foreign government to do so) after Katrina? (Which Bush refused, btw). The country to whom he sold discounted heating oil to to its low-income citizens? That country? "Cheap" publicity ploys, I guess, eh? Hostility? Doubt it.

3. The companies he nationalized were either previously public companies rife with corruption (oil, telephone) or companies who were on the brink of failure. The profits for nationalization were distributed to the poor. Probably not an ideology you agree with, but that's another topic.

4. See my previous post (if you can wade through Joo Rhip and gopher's drivel) about asking FARC ( I guess that's who you're talking about in your rather vague question) to cease their violent struggle.

5. Do you think any leader gives up power after being elected? As for his coup attempt, it was against a president who massacred 3000 protestors. Likewise, some on this thread probably have a problem with that, but again, that's another thread.

Very well then, Bangbayed. Why do you not explain "the deep history/fertilize/earth involved in the issues which give rise to Chavez?" And also explain what this or any of the nonsense you just posted has to do with this thread's allegations that the American govt plans to invade Venezuela?

You continue squirming, desperately attempting to hijack the thread onto any other topic than the alleged imminent American invasion, and behaving extremely defensively towards H. Chavez and all his policies. Now Ddeubel is speaking in tongues, citing "the deep history/fertilize/earth" angle, and you are defending him? Why is that?

Is there a method to you people's madness?

Back to the topic at hand:

bacasper's source wrote:
[W.] Bush may well have made it his top priority to overthrow Chavez, Morales and the other Latin American "pinkos" ["Pinkos?" In 2008? This is the worst journalism I have seen yet -- g.] before he leaves office in a few months, but it looks like the "axis of hope" and its supporters around the world are better prepared than ever before. As Chavez says, "if there's a coup, the countercoup would be overwhelming."

These are all testable falsifiable claims, Bacasper and allies, especially the primary one:

W. Bush will overthrow H. Chavez, E. Morales, and "[unspecified] other Latin American 'pinkos'" "before he leaves office" January 2009, four months hence.

How about this, Bacasper: I will give you 1000:1 odds on this claim. We have only to wait four months. What do you say...?

Hey Gopher, get out of your alternate reality and learn to read.

When you three stooges learn to get your facts together, stop asking me to repeat information and go back and actually read what's been posted by me and others, you can come back and play. Good night.

Excuse us for having a hard time understanding your convoluted remarks.

Gopher and I rarely agree on anything, but we certainly do in this instance.

Well, we have a published record here. For those of you who think an invasion is in the cards, when will it happen? Give us a time line and the thread can be bumped by either side in glee.

My prediction:

No invasion involving the US. No coup involving the US. Unless he gets a shot at Osama, Bush is just going to hunker down and hang on until January. I would guess that he wants to get out as much as America wants him out.

Once again: "It's the economy, stupid."

Little else in this election matters now.

As I said there is enough on Chavez that the US can feel perfectly good about not informing him of anything.

The attempted he coup was in 2002, at the time Chavez wasn't asking FARC to end their struggle.

Well, unlike Bangbayed, I am not shocked that the US failed to inform Venezuela of the coup against him. Chavez has set himself up as a declared antagonist to American interests. Note: not a natural antagonist, but a declared antagonist.

Global geopolitics ain't sharing time at kindergarten.

Commentary on the best thread of the week.

The banter an elegance attributed to this topic brings tears to my eyes.

I would join if not for the disease which aches in my knuckles.

Far too prolific for the mere key pecker.

These nobles of the forums Blade, Bang, Joo and Goo, exceding us all in their typery prose.

My own contributions pale in comparison.

The friendly ghost intercedes with his monkey wrench from time to time, but the noble class is not taken in by the theatrics of the near earth rainbow faction.

Even the double dee sainted one finds virtue here.

Carry on the nobility of postdom we may not be able to read as fast as you type, we will feign attention undaunted in our amusement.

Not bad, Jandar, not bad. Well, this merry go round has been fun but it seems the issue has been pretty much reduced to posters asking to reiterate already stated facts. Or perhaps it's too long for people to keep track of, as you alluded to. I'll post back when I see something of relevance.
And for those trying to build a straw man by painting me as anti-American, I attributed all wrongdoings to Bush. Bush is not America, though I'm sure some of you may think so.

Later.

Exactly. You are here to sing H. Chavez's praises and defend his propaganda line.

Why not be honest with yourself about it? There is no crime in siding with H. Chavez. Why all the squirmishness?
