I live in a small town in rural Gangwon and would like a gym to work out in. I requested to use the high school gym, but they said no and to use the only gym in town. There is a small gym room with weights, but it's got extremely limited equipment and early closing time for a hefty 60,000 won per month. I'd just rather put about 500,000 into having it in my spare room and having the time efficient convenience of using it before work each day.

How can I get a weight set and stationary bike or stepper delivered to my apartment? I've seen stuff for sale on here, but it's always in Seoul where I'd need to have a vehicle to get it home. Can you offer shopping suggestions that can deliver. I haven't really shopped as no stores around me have this equipment. Maybe I can get it in Seoul on a weekend who will have it delivered out to me.

Hiking has been a great way to get my heart rate up, but it's going to turn cold soon and it takes 45 minutes each way to get to my local hiking trails which is not practical for weekday use.

You can find big home gyms for sale, with delivery, on Naver or Daum. I've seen them.

We ordered stuff from GMarket. They delivered to the door. All we had to do was set it up.

We bought a complete weight bench thingy, with all sorts of exercises to be done.

There are others, as I just noticed this one is temporarily out of stock. But just check out the others. Anyway, I'd suggest GMarket, especially since they deliver all the weights and everything to you!

Thanks, Thatwhitegirl. Yes, you can join Gmarket in English, but it's not so easy to use if you can't understand Korean. And I'm one that's poor at that.

I found another one like you got http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=152185122&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=weight+set

Does it include the weights? It has the option to select 40kg, 70kg, 90kg. Guess that's the selling of the weights with the bench? This looks like a good deal.

I seen a nice stairclimber machine for like 150,000.

Sojourner,
I think that you can choose whether to get 30, 40, 70, or 90 kilos in weights. Make your choice at the top in that first pull-down bar. Free 30 kilos, then adds money for extra weights.
It does look very similar to the one we got, plus it's cheaper!
Not bad.
I'd say just go for it.
Gmarket hasn't disappointed us yet.
