trying to figure out what I can eat for breakfast, keeping in line with my eat to lift regime..

btw.. tried these larger eggs, but they TASTE funny (I remember someone mentioning this a while back.. and I didn't notice a different, funny taste with my last eggs, (smaller ones) but these ones definitely taste FUNNY.

not cool.

thought about cereals... but I didn't see anything like Total cereal in E-mart.. and I don't trust Korean milk..... even of the non fat variety. Talk about sticker shock... 4500 won for a half gallon or so of MILK???
you have to be effing kidding me.

oatmeal would be good/healthy but I LOATHE that crap.

I like yogurt.. though it's annoying I can't get the lowfat variety in Korea (which is the case with almost everything)

anyways... I guess i'll go back to the old eggs.. which I boil.. and a yogurt. perhaps.. but open for suggestions.

p.s. this Yahoo NFL pass is poisonous. 2nd Sunday night in a row I have NOT slept because I've gotten "hooked" watching games.

I eat a five egg omelet and a cup of Kashi cereal. A few hours later (supposed to eat every three hours) I have a serving of oatmeal with cranberries and blackberries as well as a protein shake.

The berries in the oatmeal make a difference. As for the cereal, go to Costco (or Hannam Mart).

If I work out then it's a protein shake and some fruit.

Today it was a piece of whole wheat toast, a bunch of cherry tomatoes, and some yogurt.

BTW, you can buy yoplait low fat yogurt here.

I'll have to search for that thread.

Eggs here taste fishy to me. You never know, that might be a good thing. Do they feed fish to chickens or something? Maybe it adds Omega 3s to the eggs?

Eggs are perhaps the healthiest single food on the planet. Don't listen to the whiners about the cholesterol.

Boil up some chicken breasts and then shred them. Good to have in the fridge.

For breakfast, you can make an easy, killer low carb, high protein soup with:

1) Tofu
2) Chicken
3) Onion
4) Squash (Zucchini)
5) Hot pepper (Gochu)
6) Salt and pepper

really, Yoplait low fat? or "light". that would be perfect.

but I didn't see anything like this at my local E-mart... which certainly pales in comparison I am sure with stores in bigger cities, like Anyang.. not to mention Seoul.

chicken breasts I eat everyday for dinner...

and re eggs.. think it's the fact that they're not refrigerated when one buys them here?

I just eat cereal bars and drink orange juice. Usually gives me loads of energy for some reason, probably because it's light and healthy.

Don't eat heavy stuff for breakfast. If I eat eggs and toast, I feel sick, if I eat pancakes, I feel like I'm going to die. Western style breakfasts are crap nutritionally and one of the reasons there are so many fatties back home. The whole "two pieces of sausage, bacon, eggs, toast and pancakes" breakfast thing is a nutritional myth.

If you don't like my idea, a bowl of cereal with a glass of orange juice should be good. Nice and healthy, doesn't weigh you down at all. That should be your morning food motto.

I probably have more experience with most people than getting healthy, quickly. So, you don't have to take this with a grain of salt Razz

My standard breakfast is ham & eggs with fried potatos, a couple of pieces of toast & jam, milk (or OJ), a banana, and LOTS of coffee... and I'm always 'starving' by 12:50 (lunch time at my school).

Denmark Plain yogart is unsweetened and can be used to make a great breakfast fruit salad.
Most days for me though breakfast is a GS25 sandwich at my desk.

My diet hasn't changed since college...bread/rice with chicken breast or spam or egg.

ALthough I've replaced wings and pizza with kimbop and donkatsu.

I usually eat a lot of eggs if I'm lifting, but I get sick of them. I think I'll get a blender and start making breakfast shakes. A banana, milk, maybe yogurt, and a scoop of protein is all you need.
