| Does anyone know where my wife and I can get a nice quality sofa that is NOT leather! We have been looking at sofas, but everything here seems to be leather or a piece of junk fabric sofa. I want a nice quality fabric sofa. Any suggestions? |

All depends on your taste - have a look at weagookinmall or gmarket maybe? I quite like this (non-leather) one:

I've just bought a sofa from gmarket and while it was very cheap it's not the most comfortable....! You could go to Muji as well, they do nice furniture but can be quite expensive...at least you can try before you buy? I think there's also a BoConcept in Itaewon which again is expensive but very very nice. |

| May not be very helpful but just outside of Daejeon there are tons of furniture factories. Most places have outlet shops. I'm guessing there must be a hundred shops. Most likely they deliver. |

First of all, don't buy a sofa unless you try it out yourself. I once bought a sofa bed online that I didn't try out and it was a big mistake.
If you are in Seoul, go to Ahyeon subway station and go to the furniture market there. You might find a bargain but don't expect things to be too cheap.
I also hear the Seoul suburb of Pocheon has a big furniture market. Don't worry about delivery, they'll deliver it so long as you order more than 100,000 won worth (so I hear).
Avoid furniture stores in Gangnam, they're just priced higher because it's Gangnam. |
