Yes, I been debating this in my mind as well. I am thinking about future opportunities abroad and further qualifications. I am wondering if I should just enjoy the life that I have now. I am making double the average Taiwanese university grad. Also I get to study Mandarin every morning before work as opposed to the average Taiwanese guy or gal that is spending 10 hours a day at work and then they just go home and have dinner. After dinner they may be to tired to do anything else.
Anyways, I am considering getting a teacher's license, becoming an accountant, or trying to get a job at an embassy.
The one reason I mention accountant is that there are many offshore jobs in the Caribbean. I wouldn't mind spending ten years working there before my third career, whatever that might be! |

I am interested in living in Africa or finding a stable long term job in China, Taiwan or Hong Kong.
If I stay in China or Taiwan, I might try to do a PhD part-time after I finish work in an international school. I would like to do some research and or write a book about the Chinese speaking world. |

Sorry, missed this question when you originally asked it.
Getting a master's in Intl. Relations. Career track is Intl. Management and Japan. That being said, I highly doubt I'll be going there now, but never know. |

Was it easy to find work? My aim is to end up in Japan again...but I fancy Taiwan or China once my contract ends in 6 months time.
I have to weigh up the choice between saving money in Korea, versus a fresh experience elsewhere... |

Easy to find work, but not as easily as in Korea.
It is a bit more of a legitimate process, and not the sight-unseen email of 'can you be here next week even though you never taught before and we have no idea who you are?' that Korea does.
I'd say its closer to being back home. Interview and real applications and such. But, no, it isn't hard to find a job here. |
