I wanted to do this poll.

I voted for the second option, not that that will surprise anyone.

If you want to be less of an ass, try not posting so much, and starting so many threads on the same topic.

Lots of poeple post more than me. I only became active this last weekend.

And since my last thread was worded way to badly to get serious responses, I am trying to break up some of the key points into a couple different threads.

I take issue with #1. If the complaints are for good reason, then it is not really complaining "too much" is it?

Fair point, but seeing as though its possible to take crap, and not complain at all, I think the option is okay.

Where's the option for "Call 'em as we see 'em"? Or rather, "We complain at a rate exactly proportionate to the amount of legitimate grievences we have".

Many posters on this site bitch too much about petty things. Some things though do merit a good bitching. I think westerners in general don't bitch too much. I base that on my large group of friends.

Hey spliff, I will gladly sell you my pole for four times what it is worth.

Then I will only send you half of a pole to teach you a lesson. Smile

Did Inukshuk grow a pair and send you the rest of your stuff yet?

I'm positive that he didn't. Sorry you got screwed on that by the way.

Your pole is flawed. It's not long enough, but we all knew that.

Critical thinking and refusing to accept cultural relativism as an excuse for classless behavior is not complaining.

Funny that you claim to be a critical thinker yet you deride cultural relativism on a regular basis, despite cultural relativism being accepted by academia as absolutely neccesary when viewing other cultures.

A good starting point if you're interesting in doing any critical thinking on the topic:

Accepted by all academia in all disciplines regarded as valid by every single anthropologist and sociologist working in their field? Really?

I'm Korean. I see a woman smoking. I call her a *beep*. It's not my fault it's my culture?

I'm Korean. I beat my wife. It's OK because women were placed below men by Confucius over 2000 years ago. It's my culture. How can I be held responsible if I'm only following what my culture has dictated is acceptable?

There are standards for logic, and cultural relativism lacks these.
