She is so incredibly unqualified it's shocking. I just watched her interview with Katie Couric and it was painful to watch. She didn't have any informed opinions on ANY topics. She was really squirming in the interview, and looked like she was really regretting accepting McCain's offer. She makes Dan Quail look like a Harvard professor.

What in Jehovah's friggin name was McCain thinking? Watch the interview on youtube (if you can. It's really painful to watch. Poor lady.)

Don't.

She is protected against witches. So she has nothing to worry about.

Seriously. She is a grown up. She knew what she was doing, presumably, when she decided to run.

It is America and the world you should feel sorry for, if she wins. And especially if she becomes president.

How can anyone in their right mind vote for her and McCain?

Mugabe's opponents were warlocks, and he won, so Palin should be worried.

Meh, I'm hoping for an Obama presidency with the Senate controlled by the Republicans.

Good News:

Maybe they'll be desperate to get her another interview to fix that mess. Perhaps another one with Sean Hannity? Definitely fox.
That would only went marginally better.

Or.

Good News:
She keeps bombing interviews over and over until she implodes on herself like a collapsed star.... but without all the fanfare. And way more laughter.

I hope she cracks under pressure.

"You can see precisely where [her] heart breaks... right... here!"
*Pause*

I met an American the other night who assured me that Obama has absolutely no chance on winning what-so-ever and that all Americans know that. I sincerely hope this isn't the case. If McCain wins, it's the end of Western Civilization. Obama actually stands a chance.

If he says it loud enough, often enough, he will be able to believe it.

McCain was slipping badly in potential Electoral College votes last week before Friday night's debate. To win, a candidate must have 270. Obama has 171 and McCain 158 (ie, a lead of over 10% in each of those states). Obama has a chance at 57 more with a lead of 5-10%, McCain only 5 more. There are 147 votes where the polls are too close to call. If you divvied up those 147 to each candidate who has any lead at all, Obama would have 301, McCain only 237. (The numbers are from Real Clear Politics, where they average the poll numbers from various polls to eliminate as much as possible any weirdness from individual polls.)

That is an interesting take. I was thinking the opposite. I didn't feel she was squirming or regretting the offer, I thought she was simply trying her hardest to get through the interview, and she made a reference to 'reporters' in general, as if they were the ones making it hard, not that she herself was so incredibly uninformed.

I don't like Palin because she is not an animal lover, and she supports killing off the wolves and she wants to take polar bears off the endangered species list. She also says global warming isn't real, and that the polar ice caps are not melting. My friend in the states said that commercial on TV about the poor wolves getting shot from low-flying planes is disgusting. She is also a hunter. Rolling Eyes Palin sucks!

Bill Maher on Sarah Palin:

"People, what we have here is a category 5 moron!"

She's a big girl and it's time for her to wake up and realize that her arrogant assuredness that she knows everything with the support of Jesus and guns is just a facade of ignorance.

The ridiculously stubborn christian right are so damn ignorant, but believe that they know everything because they learned it all at church.

Maybe this will help her to realize that she doesn't know everything and maybe needs to actually "think" about issues.

Those names really bother me. They're just annoying, like, she would choose those names, wouldn't she?

Everything Sarah Palin stands for and believes in bothers me.

She's the intellectual decay of Western Civilization personified.

There was a thread entitled "Why are Koreans rich?" and a debate ensued therein. I think Americans have already answered their own similar question ("Why are Americans still rich?"). We know why America is rich, and for a time it led the world and deserved this title.

But now America as a whole does not deserve to be a first world country, and Americans do not deserve respect because they're Americans. Maybe this is finally happening.

I hope Obama wins and changes my mind.

This site gives about a .1% chance of a Republican Senate happening (scroll down to the Senate bar).

After the Couric interview I felt sorry for her for about a day.
Then I realized she should have known she was going to get eaten alive nationally when answering questions about The Big Picture. The Wasilla hockey mom pitbull lipschtick doesn't coast very far.

Firing the town's librarian after asking her about banning books spoke volumes (pun intended) of where her head is really at. And she might be president?!!!!!
Just that fascist move should scare the crap out of everyone!!!

I'm otherwise disappointed for women in politics in general that McCain has picked such a piece of unsubstantial, RepuBot fluff.

I can only wonder what the rest of the world's leaders were thinking after the interview Confused

Although Kim Jong Il has probably decided to make her concubine # 6 Wink

Any news on KJI? There were all those stories about him being ill a week or two ago.
