Hi,
It seems everyone should be off work on Friday for a national holiday. I was thinking of hitting Seoul for the weekend. I had difficultty traveling at the last minute over chosuk, will the traffic be chocka, i.e. should I book the KTX in advance or would it be ok to just arrive at the bus station and get a seat on the Friday late morning (coming from Gwangju.)
Thanks |

| Shouldn't be too much trouble. It will be busier than a regular weekend but no where near as busy as Chuseok. |

It may be a bit busy but it won't be anything like Chuseok.
It may be advisable to book the KTX in advance but regular trains and buses won't be full.

The regular trains tend to be full on the weekends. KTX should be fine. But that is dependent on where you get on and off. The buses are less crowded, but it takes more effort in trying to figure out where to get a ride and where they go.
Only time you really need to worry about not getting on transportation is during chuseok and seollal. |
