should be shot.

Seriously, wtf is up with all the idiots who don't have enough god given common sense to realize that watching television is NOT something you should even attempt to do while driving a car.

The worst part is, you know that if you're involved in an accident with one of these knuckleheads, they are gonna lie through their teeth and deny, deny deny, that they were in fact watching KBS when they slammed into you.

Sorry, I've seen a lot of stupidity over the years, but this is beyond my ability to comprehend.

Korea Sparkling.

It's funny how many guys, especially taxis, will keep their cars immaculate, but drink soju and watch TV while out for a drive or shift work. Often, they won't smoke in their cars though. They like to watch TV shows if not watching GPS.

"New rule.... Don't watch TV when you drive. This week, a man is on trial for a fatal crash that happened when he was watching and driving - 'Road Trip.' A moving automobile isn't a theater... It's a place for eating, drinking, talking on the phone, doing your hair, checking your makeup and getting blown."

The watching TV in the car thing has always made me crazy. How can it not seem like a bad idea to any person with a half a brain???? I wonder as GPS units and in car DVD players become more popular is this also a problem in western countries? I have been here way to long so I have no idea how things are back in North American.

It's a stupid habit, regardless of where you are from. My sister's husband watched all the freaking Star Wars (original) movies on the way to my parents' house, once. One of my high school friends actually died from a DVD-in-car situation, as well. Her friend was driving and they were both watching something on the DVD player. They drifted out of their lane, swerved back in, overcompensated, and flipped their car across the highway--the driver was fine but my friend was instantly killed. Anyone who thinks that WATCHING something while DRIVING is a moron. This was about four years ago in the US, too, so it's nothing new in the States.

Couple days ago I saw a father driving around with his 2 year old kid on his lap and the kids hand on the steering wheel with the father 'showing' him how to drive. Britney spears style.

No seatbelts of course.

I saw the bus driver on the road from Daegu to my town lean back in his seat so he could see what was on the TV. He watched for a little less than 5 minutes. Incredible.

In the UK there was some truck driver who was watching Battlestar Galactica while driving a huge truck down the highway at high speeds. Can't remember the exact details..

I'm not aware of Korean law, but is it legal to have a TV in the car in the States?

Calif. just banned texting and headphone chatting on cell phones in automobiles. I think there should be a total ban on TVs on the dashboard. If they put them behind the front seats so only the passengers can watch, fine. But I can't see any sane reason a car with a TV the driver can watch should be legal.

On this forum, you'll always get some dikhed who has to refer to "Korean Law". For the 2,500,000th time to the Dikheds out there, who cares what Koean law is, all it is, is words an paper. Police don't enforce, penalties are low, and Presidents pardon. Get it!
