Yup, wrong forum.

Short answer though - you can't. The software is Korean and doesn't have a "switch to English" option. Also, the servers are different so you cant use your US/EU/AUS account here.

There is a way to hack the game to allow you to play.

I think you copy over a couple files from a US version of the game into the Korean WoW folder. It basically replaces the Realm List form Korean server to the US one.

GET AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE AND COPY IT FROM YOUR COMP ONTO THE HDD.

It works perfectly. That's how I've been playing for the past 5 months.

Excellent Idea, I think I might do that!

If you want op, there another way. I'm a little iffy on it because I only briefly read it (it's a thread somewhere here on daves).

You change the wtf file from wow.koreasomethingsomething.kr
to wow.usserverssometingsomething.us

You have to look it up, I obviously don't remember it well.

But the thing is the ENTIRE interface is in Korean. I'm going with JDOGs method

OK, I looked into WoW a while back and was told in no uncertain
terms that if I wanted to play everything would be in Korean. So I
have been playing BF2.

Now I'm a lieutenant in BF2 <<<CDN>ASSHOLE>>> and I'm getting
a little tired of it.

So, how can i play WoW, at home, in English? I need the dummies
guide please.

You can download the WoW client (burning crusade is virtually required as no one plays without the expansion) from their website completely for free. After that, just sign up.

Now, Wrath of the Lich King is coming out in a month. So, the way that I'm going is to order the cd-key from a website. I'm going with this one:

http://www.mmoga.com/buy/world-of-warcraft/world-of-warcraft-wrath-of-the-lich-king-addon.html

Yeah, and not only that, but if you use that method then the interface will be completely modified with Korean mods that you've probably never seen or used before. It'd slow you down more than anything.

Slightly off topic, but . . .

If you like PVP realms, do some online research before you choose. There are sites that give you the percentage of Alliance and Horde. It's frustrating if you have a character (especially a rogue), and you don't have many players to fight. I found out that my realm is really unbalanced: 60% Horde / 40% Alliance.

God yes. I'm on Dath'remar, an aussie server, and the horde population there sucks. It's really small, and the guilds blow. Right now, I'm in a decent guild that fits my play time, but even still, they're really impulsive and raiding places like SSC or Mags with them is more of an exercise in frustration.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to play it at a PC Bang? You're on someone else's comp, with a different setup than you're used to, surrounded by loud teens and/or chain smoking 20-somethings.

If you're playing off an external HDD, you're just copying what was on your home computer, so your mods and everything are on there. If you need new mods you just download them onto your HDD.

You do indeed need to find a good pc bang though. That's up to you.

However, having all the latest graphics and food on tap can be worth it.
