It's about time. Clearly this organization is controlled by North Korea.

So the KTU sent some money to boost its own sweetheart contender for the position of SMOE's top watchdog job.

Seems like a minor offence rather than a major one. Do organizations not do this sort of thing everyday on a less formal basis? You know, sweeping and paving the road for their strongest likely contender to get in? I see the problem with diverting funds when you're supposed to be an independent organization but this looks like wrist-slapping action is called for, not major news.

I smell sour grapes. A lot of yahoos step up for jobs like this and organizations like the KTU will often pipe up and voice opposition if they think there's a complete f*ck-up about to get into office.

And posters were asking for this a month ago? I guess I just don't understand the severity of it. Seems like perfectly defensible behavior on the part of the KTU.

I would question how this could be possible, but recently I discovered some interesting materials.

Go to http://usinkorea.org/, look at the upper left hand part of the web page and click the link "Korea Teachers Union Vile Anti-US Video Lesson." It's a "real pleasure" to watch. It makes me think that Wylies99 might be correct.

This morning I had several Korean teachers tell me that they wanted Obama to win. Maybe they saw this video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=i2naSzb1psU.

They were certainly working hand-in-hand with the pro-NK, anti-US factions during the beef protests. It's a vile organization that, while it may have had admirable intentions when it started amidst military regimes, is clearly off its rocker now. Too bad 35% of teachers in Jeollanam-do belong to it. Sad
