I know of Hongdae, but that's the only place. Anywhere to recommend? |

i think it really depends on what you're looking to take photos of.
I'd recommend dongdaemun-gu for old architecture (i.e.- falling apart buildings stacked up on each other...old seoul) and also wandering around Seoul station is good for that too.
if you're wanting newer, or nicer places- take a walk down the Cheonggyecheon in downtown Seoul (near Gwanghwamun). it's picturesque, but you will be overcome by all the couples there...it's a big date spot. (btw- it's a man-made stream). you can also visit Insadong along the walk there. if you feel like it, you could walk from there to dongdaemun in no time at all. its a nice walk. i do recommend taking side streets for awhile, that's where it's interesting.
There's some parks on the southern part of Seoul, Children's grand park. and a racetrack somewhere i believe. there are also lots of palaces and temples in and around seoul. and museums, lots of museums.
honestly it depends on what you are looking for in photography. just pick a subway station, go there and then start walking. it's amazing what you can find when you just set out. and if you get lost, grab a cab and tell them the name of a subway station you know and then you'll be fine. |

If you really have to ask where to take pictures, you probably aren't much of a photographer in the first place. |

i like daehanro, near hyehwha station. lots of street art. also there's this park somewhere near youngdeungpo... it's an old sewage treatment plant on an island. i wish i remembered the name... seonyudo?

Samcheondong...behind Insadong. I think it's really picturesque and beautiful....lovely little alleyways. As for the comment about not being much of a photographer...meh, I wouldn't know about samcheondong in the first place if someone hadn't brought me there...so I think it's a fair question to ask...nevermind the bollocks. |
