I need a ready made Hanbok, and I am almost certain that Namdaemun would be the cheapest place to get one.

Any thoughts. I need this process to be easy. Thanks.

Hanboks are really really cheap at the crematorium, just slip the furnace operator a few bucks, and its yours.

consider renting one.... You really don't want to own one if you are light skin (colors are all wrong for light skin). I looked like a pumpkin wraped in gift ribbon.

Many of the local markets have shops that make hanbok. They are usually very small shops and the only way to locate them is to walk around and look for them.

I'm not sure about renting them. Maybe someone can point you in the direction of a place that does that.

Aw, c'mon. Some people want hanbok for good reasons. Take the OP's question seriously.

The cheapest place I could find several years ago was in the basement of Techo Mart. There were lots of hanbok shops there and they had a very wide selection.

These directions suck but I'll try.... Next to Doota, right next to the river there is a box looking department store - it's about 6 stories high. From the department store you can see the actual old gate.

Anyway inside that department store there is a whole floor dedicated to hanboks. It can be a bit overwhelming actually. I'm sure they have ones already made. I gotta a three piecer plus all the extras - like socks, legging.... for 250,000. It was a wedding hanbok so a bit expensive, you could definatley get a cheaper one.

I got one for 90,000 in Namdaemun, my wife's was 80,000. We needed them for oue son's first B-day party. Originally we were going to have a simple party, but my boss rented out a swanky hall, so we figured we should do the first b-day Korean style.

Thanks for those who helped, and for the rest, thanks for the laugh.
