So are we going to do this thing?

I'm all for it if it gets planned out, but I can't do all the planning myself because I don't like being responsible for other people. I will help plan though, and I will come if it's on a weekend Smile

(Preferrably Saturday night!)

Gangnam is a good area, no? We could say Saturday somewhere in Gangnam and then talk about the specifics later. Maybe we could have two stages...a restaurant for those that don't want to go ape and a drinking place for those that want to go ape. You can join/leave at either stage.

That sounds like a plan. Let's get this thing nailed down.

Let's not make any plans.

If you're local to Seoul, try and pop your head in at some stage. I'm going to be there. If only one other person shows up then we'll have a conversation.

It's happening whether or not people want to come. Even if I have to sit alone there's a Dave's Eat Up happening in a restaurant/pub in Gangnam. Any suggestions as to where I should eat?

Sorry my ill education, but when you say that Rainbow Bar is a hookah bar, does that mean prostitutes or Turkish smoking bar? I for one would definately like to meet up in a ladies bar, just to see the cheap-skate teachers not order anything or spend any money on the ladies. A group of waygooks getting kicked out of a hookah bar for not participating in an illegal activity...tomorrows scandal.

Not saying your cheap-skate or anything, but you are.

Haha, actually Rainbow Bar is pretty G-rated. It's just people hanging out and smoking hookah... good atmosphere, lots of space.

Sounds like a plan.

Angus, which is right around the corner from Rainbow Bar, is good too. They have yummy kiwi soju, that ginseng soju stuff (forgot the name) and a wonderful fruit platter!

The Haebangchon Music Festival will be happening that same afternoon and evening. I'm already committed to that, I'm afraid.

I should get around to memorizing some screen names on here. I guess that that's better than saying, "Oh, you're the person with the avatar of . . . the two mushrooms/Marilyn Monroe/black dude from G.I. Joe/Jesus on dinosaur/Gene Wilder/big afro prisoner dude, etc." Ah, you get my point.

I take it the cultural elitists on this board have never heard of Top Trumps.

Oh well...

So who's up for the 25th? Stop being bitches and pretending you're busy at some international cultural fest that isn't happening. I know you're not 'cool teacher'.

All nationalities are welcome except Canadians.

No, I'm in Busan now. Gangnam is around 4 hours from Sokcho, including subway ride. Nobody has said if they'll definately be there yet. Give a 1,2 or 3.

1 = Sounds like a good idea, if I'm lose I'll come but it'll be difficult.
2 = Sounds like a good idea, I'll keep it in mind.
3 = I'll definately come.

I'm 3, if there's another 3 on the forum.

I'm number 1. I want to come, but I work that day and I probably won't be able to make it out until after supper (assuming it's an evening gathering and not an afternoon one).
