so ive recently started using torrents, but 2 out of the 4 movies ive downloaded have no sound. what is with that? |

could be the file type you're trying to play on a bare-bones windows media player.
if it's a .divx file you will likely need a codec, or use the .divx player. do a search for codecs you'd need to play that specific file type, and you should be fine. |

Yes, its because you don't have the correct codec.
However, divx/xvid is the visual codec not the audio codec. It's probably not encoded with mp3 but something like ac3.
Install this (http://www.cccp-project.net/) and you'll be good to play almost anything. |
