At lunch today, we had lettuce. Not like a salad, just large leaves of lettuce like for samgyupsal.

I like lettuce, and just eat it straight. I was sitting across from the vice principle, who suddenly started making loud hooting noises. Then he said (in Korean), "Look everyone! She eats lettuce like a goat!" He kept gawking and saying "Goat, Goat" every time I picked up a piece of lettuce, and demanding different people around the table watch me eat a lettuce leaf.

It's very strange what passes for manners here, when you're the top person. I actually didn't care at all. He wasn't trying to be insulting, he's just a very strange guy.

Anyway, it was just kind of a random moment.

So, you were like a goat. Hmm. At least you weren't like a gorilla jumping around, beating your chest, and hooting in weird ways at a mundane event. Like he was.

Think I'd rather be the goat.

Would be call you a monkey if he saw you eating a banana?

Koreans eat twigs and leaves. What does that make them?
