Please don't buy one! Puppy mills support cruelty and greed.
Go to www.animalrescuekorea.org
They have schnauzers from time to time plus they have connections to many shelters all over Korea. I'm sure they can find you a new companion soon! |

skconqueror, no need to be so mean.
my computer had some issues, that's why it posted the same one for couple times. plus i had deleted those long before you wrote such unnecessary post, which displays only the lack of manner.

thank you scamps. i will check it out.
the only concern is that for those from the shelters, mostly are abandoned. does that mean usually those dogs have problems? or otherwise why were they abandoned? |

Nope.
Abandoned animals generally means the owners have problems. |

Well that could be true in some cases but if you believe that good dogs come from good owners then you can look at it another way.
Some dogs were abandoned by foreigners going back to their country who didn't take the time or didn't care enough, too cheap, etc to bring the pet with them. Some were abused by people who don't know how to take care of a dog in the first place. All the stories are different.
Volunteers go down to the Daejeon shelter every Saturday morning. You can visit them yourself and get a warm hug from Mrs. Jung their sole caretaker. Please go to the website for more information.
Also, volunteers go to a shelter in Ilsan and meet at the Samsong Station on line 3 every Sunday at 12 pm exit 9. But you need to call in advance to let them know you're coming.
It's not neccessary to go to the shelter yourself. They can find a dog for you and then you can visit it directly. The main purpose of going there is to play with the dogs, give them exercise, help them be more social. Of course, you can adopt on the spot, too.
Oh, and there's a really great vet in the Itaewon area. The clinic is called Chung Wha Veterinary Clinic. They have a website and always have lots of cuties for adoption. Just google that name for the website. |

I think schnauzers are nice looking dogs. They remind of a grandfather looking animal. It's like they have a goatee. They seem like nice animals in general.
Let us know what you find, man. |
