I work at an all boys, public middle school.
1. Last week my co-teacher/handler's grandmother died and she took a day off. When I went to teach the class we have together that day, the students asked where she was. I told them she took the day off because her grandmother died and about six of the boys started cheering.
2. Yesterday, I had a class divided into two teams for a writing 'contest'... and one of the teams named themselves "Team Gay". I wasn't sure I had heard or understood correctly but one of the better students clarified my questions with "Yes, homosexual".
Strange kids indeed! |

Haha.
I'm at an all girls middle school and they are constantly talking about poop and farts. It's sickening. I don't know how many piles of clay poop I saw during ceramics week. |

"Screwed up...that's what kids are these days. "
A high school student told me this...a high school student...even he can see the changes in student behaviors. |

My brother use to manage a Kohl's department store in the USA. Somebody crapped in a sock in the dressing room.
Why would you crap in a sock? |

They are at the age when things that are taboo are interesting for shock value. The situation is worse in the middle east.
Get over it. |

Really, bassexpander. Please do tell. Hilarious.
OP- Hey! Funny I stumbled upon this... about to shoot you a gay email.
I heart this thread, and have decided never to send my future children to gender segregated schools. |

I worked in the UAE
The young students have a natural curiosity about anything that is considered haram forebidden by Islamic teachings. One of the first questions they asked was" Do you drink whiskey". Then they would press their finger to push up their nose and say" Do you like to eat the pig" They also had a facination with Russian and Phillipino prostitutes. They would ask if I liked to visit Dubbai and meet the Russian ladies and check into a hotel. |

I remember my first year here my grandfather passed away and I when I came back from his funeral, one of the students laughed and joked about it. Boy did she regret that. The tears were really flowing from her that day. |

Last term I believe that one of my students - a second-year high school girl - took a dump in a little shed behind our old cafeteria. It's a little square shed about 3' X 5' near my house (I live in a teacher's residence) with one door missing. As I was walking home frm school one day I noticed a few not-so-nice students hanging around there. One was outside the shed and the other was squatting inside on the side with an open door talking on a phone. An hour later when I was leaving for the supermarket I thought I'd stop by and take a look - I had noticed some cigarette butts around there and wondered if there might be any fresh ones - and when I looked inside the side of the shed that was covered by a door there was a fresh pile of poop and three used pieces of toilet paper. Why, oh why, would you do that when the student toilets are only a minute's walk away? |

I can just see it -
Thousands of years from now future archaeologists will be excavating K-schools from the 21st century full of... coprolites!... and scratching their heads, going WTF? |
