Has anyone traveled to the Korean Consulate in Cebu to get their work visa? Does anyone know the office hours? Are they open M-F from 9-12 for visa processing?

Alyssa, there's a Korean Consulate in Cebu???

I assume from your post that you processed your work visa at this Consulate. If this is the case, then:

1) Where in cebu City is the Consulate?
2) Were you successful to process it there?
3) How many days did it actually take?

It would be wonderful to process future visa runs in Cebu, even if it takes more time, rather than deal with Manila.

Any info. is appreciated. Thanks.

Smile Well, I flew to Cebu early this morning and rushed off to the Korean Consulate only to find out that they don't issue visas. So I need to fly to Manila tomorrow and head over to the Embassy Smile I'll wait and see what they say before I book a flight to Korea. I'm hoping I can get the visa by Friday Smile

I certainly hope you were heading there anyway.

Nope Sad It was a special trip. But the plane ticket between Cebu and Manila was only 2400 pesos ($60). Got lucky, this was the promo rate.

I got to Manila around 7.30 am. Made my way by taxi ($4) from the airport to the Korean Embassy. Arrived around 8.15am. I had to wait outside the building until 8.45. Took the elevator to the 18th floor (not the 10th, opps). Was out of their by 11. I now need to come back in 2 days.

I would've gone to the Phils this month or the next, but man, the won-dollar rate is changing those plans. I did a check and US$500 buys 23,800 or so pesos, while 500,000 won buys only 18,800 pesos. That's a loss of around 132,000 won per 500,000 won that you convert.

Promo rate? I hope that was for a round-trip ticket. One-way should have been less than 2000.
