I don't know if I've seen that kind of cat, but I saw a nice English cat in Ilsan. It was very cute. They have a few cats at my Homever.
Cats that are special breeds can cost a lot of money. I think up to 300,000 won. I like Russian greys a lot.

Scottish Folds have the ears that fold down. Awesome looking cat. In the breed, only a few of the cats' ears will fold down. Hence, making them even more expensive.

They're adorable... I know they're quite expensive back home so it must be worse here....but I have no idea.

Good luck with getting a purebred cat here.

When I lived in Cheong-ju, I saw an Abyssinian (too early in the morn to bother with spelling) for, I think it was $1,500 (USD). Ugh, that's too expensive. And I bet you don't get any papers with it.

Personally, I'd love a British short hair.

I once had a tabby Manx. This is the cat without a tail. Legend has it that Noah closed the door too quickly and accidentally cut off the cat's tail.

One day, when the hubby is gone, I'll get another. Scottish fold is a nice looking cat, too.

If my SF male knew what do do with his dick, I'm sure my SF female would have been pregnant last year (I swear the guy is as smart as a bag of hammers).

They were expensive, upwards of 400,000. I can ask the "mom" is there are any more, or if the vet has any leads on some.

Actually, it's the other way around. A minority of the cats do NOT have folded ears, the majority do. My female has the folded ears, the male doesn't; in the female's family, all 4 of her brothers and sisters had folded ears, mom too, but not dad.

I saw a couple scottish folds in Chungmuro a few weeks ago, 3-400. Bargain viciously, I got a russian blue for 260, he was 350. Get out at the station and walk down the main road, there are many pet stores. Buy him young though, and insist that you be reimbursed if he gets sick. Only shop in clean stores where the cats and dogs are separated properly. And make sure he has clean eyes.

Try to adopt! Go to www.animalrescuekorea.org
I haven't seen a Scottish Fold for adoption on that site but you should put up a post there and through their numerous contacts with shelters all over Korea they should be able to find you one.

I'm going to swing by Chungmuro after work. What exit should I get out of the subway station at to see all the pet shops?

The Chungmuro shops are not a place for getting purebreeds... the diseases that infest the animals there are plentiful. I wouldn't trust ANY animal from Chungmuro to live more than a couple months.
