What's the reality here? At the end of your contract/visa, how long do you have to exit the country. I've heard anywhere from 0 days to 2 weeks. Considering if you finish work on your final day at 8pm, need to check payments, close bank accounts etc, if would be highly unlikely that you could make it to the airport by midnight the same day (if that's the case).

I know you can go to immigration & get an extention, but what if you just need a day or two to tie up loose ends? How long have you got!?

check the date on your visa. I have 18 days, because I got my visa 18 days after I started my job.

Actually, when leaving, it's the date on your alien registration card that matters.

So how do you extend your visa for a couple of weeks or so? Just scroll in with your passport/ARC and ask them?

Is that all there is to it?

I extended my visa by a few days last year, and they asked to see my plane ticket showing when I was going to be leaving Korea.

Bring your passport, ARC, and plane ticket when you go to Immigration and that should do it. There was no fee either when I did it.

Son Deureo!,

Hmm, okay, thanks. How long did it take? Same day?

I guess I should buy a ticket well in advance of leaving, then, what with a photocopy needed to get back my pension money, to extend my visa, etc.....
