I'm outta here soon, and I've done a good job so far at saving. However, with the current exchange rate, I'm thinking that I'd rather buy myself a few luxuries (new cam, new watch, etc) than send money home. For now, these items haven't gone up in price, but each time I send money home, I feel like I'm losing money. I know that I'm not gonna miraculously save money by spending it. But I'd rather have something to show for my hard-earned cash than send it home and get fisted by the exchange rate.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Perhaps picking up a few luxury things for friends and have them pay cash for them when I get back.... |
