Yeah, so I got the turkey, bought the cranberry sauce, getting the vegetables later today, gonna go to itaewon and see if I can get some Jello for a jello salad, and costco makes a nice pumpkin pie.

Are any other Canucks gonna celebrate the holiday this weekend? Or is there nothng to be Thankful for over here?

I myself am thankful that the Canadian Dollar has not tanked against the won like the American won has.

Thankful that the Canadian dollar has not tanked against the won? It's pretty bad. I just spent 1,060,000 to send home $800.

I would love to have a nice Thanksgiving dinner, but I'm not much of a cook. My aunt makes the most amazing sweet potato dish with walnuts and brown sugar. Oh I would kill for that and some turkey and gravy right now!

I have been away from Canada for 17 years and have always forget about this day. What makes it worse is people in other countries all know about the American one.

I gave up on Thanksgiving. No point. My Kfamily thinks western food tastes like ass. Oh well.

Yeah, I'm thankful I don't have to send money to C-land.

My fellow Canadian co-workers and I are making a Thanksgiving dinner sometime this week! We'll see what we can find, but we just want to celebrate it and make a big meal. I like Thanksgiving.

I'm taking my GF to Niagara falls and we're getting a room with a heart shaped hot tub for two.

The only reason I knew about it is because it's my birthday. I bought an oven on the weekend, so we will have a roast something or other next weekend. Any excuse for a good feed.

Bahahhaha. Just got back from Niagara falls with the GF. We both dropped $20 in the nickel slots at the casino. She hit a $1,500 jackpot.

A good white trash weekend.

I gave up on Thanksgiving when I first married as well. Now that we have kids, they like turkey and mashed, so I get to celebrate Thanksgiving again. But not here...no oven Crying or Very sad

Thanksgiving is much better with piles of people, anyhow. 4 people and a huge turkey is just sad.

I suggested we just play $20 and walk out when our money ran out and she was like "oh I'll just watch you" but I talked her into coughing up $20 of her own.
