I got the search engine blues...so if you find the threads, please post them here.
Nevertheless, I am thinking about buying a kitten. Never bought one before. Questions:
Which places should I start checking out?
When looking for kittens, what are health concerns I should be looking for?
How much are neutering/spaying costs?
How much are shots and other procedures for kittens?
Do I need to register or get a licence?
Is it cheaper to get kitten/cat food at vet's or other places?
How much does it cost to fly it back to the US (I heard you can keep it on your lap during the flight if it is under a certain amount of weight)?
Anything I missed, please add! |

Don't recall the exact details. While I did investigate the whole thing, it was quite a while ago and my memory isn't very good. As far as I remember there is not a quarantine period for the states. There are veterinary requirements before you leave (rabies shots etc) and if the pet is in the hold, they do restrict the time of year they allow pet travel because of extreme heat or cold if they have to wait on the tarmac. Taking the pet with you is restricted by the airline and size of course. There are also reliable pet relocation companies that handle all the details for you if you wish.
As I said check out the site. There are far more well informed people there and lots of cute kitties looking for loving homes. |

Yeah, I emailed some people on there about the kitties.
I am wondering, though, if someone could answer some of the questions I posted about the price of things because that is really going to factor into if I am going to get one or not. I have to have the money to take care of it if I want to get one. |

Its true - I got a kitten from there...
Just go out Moran station and walk around the corner to where all the dogs are and where they are torturing and BBQing dogs -
at first the koreans will be angry with you - and tell you to go away - because they will think that you came to take photographs of the dogs being tortured..
but just tell them - you want a "Cat baby" (Gu-yangi Arggii) and they will happily show you where the kittens are -
save one - just 5,000won (if you don't - it will be made into soup) |
