I've been trying to find Dial but the only place I can find it is in the black markets near the airbase. I find that Korean soap just doesn't keep me as clean. Is there a Korean equivalent of Dial or some other antibacterial soap? |

It's a pain in the ass, but Costco has it. Picked some up in the summer....I must have 3 liters of the stuff!!!
Edit: Come to think of it, I got it first at EMart cuz that's where I got bottle/pump. But it costs a fortune at EMart. I think it cost me 6,000won for the tiny emart bottle, while 3 liters cost me 15,000 or so at Costco. |

I did the same thing. The jug has lasted me 6 months already and still is half full. |

I don't know Dial so I've never looked for it, but I did use Dettol Antibacterial soap at home and found that at Home Ever. |

By the way, I'm talking about the bar soap. I can find the liquid hand soap. I tried using that stuff in the shower and it just doesn't lather like Dial... |

I also use Dettol. They have it at the big stores but I buy it at my crappy grocery store. |

I buy Dial at CostCo. (big surprise there).
I fill an old liquid soap dispensers that I bought here with the gigantic dial container from CostCo. That seems to work well enough for me. |

Dettol lathers well and comes in soap or liquid form. Try it out. Not too expensive either. |

EC,
PM me if you are in Seoul and can't find this anywhere else. I know of one place that might have it. This is a store near my house that sells homeware stuff and I happened to see bars of soap there. I'll have to drop back by there to confirm they still have it. If they do and you still need it I'll give you directions. |

Unless you're cooking with a lot of chicken and you really need to scrub up your counter well, forget the antibacterial soap. Normal soap is antibacterial (aside from removing dirt it also denatures the cell wall of bacteria). That's one reason we use soap. In most cases you don't need the extra stuff. It's like paying for extra octane in your gas when your engine won't take advantage of it. |
