& that is why good 'ol old school steel locks are what we should keep using.

And we've all got that technology lying around, just ready to put it to use. Rolling Eyes

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Locks are for 'honest' people.

I lock up my bike when I go into a store or whatever, which prevents someone just seeing it and deciding to take it on the spur of the moment. But if a professional bike thief should happen to be in the area, he can cut the lock off with bolt cutters, throw my bike in the back of his truck, and be gone in 30 seconds.

If someone wants to get into your place, they'll get in. If it's a regular, mechanical key lock, they'll pick it. If it's an electronic lock, they'll figure out a way to hack it. However, both kinds of locks will keep the average person out. But a professional will find a way in if they really want to.
