It is quite disconcerting to read these, but given they were written years ago and seem to foretell what may be happening now, I find it disturbing.
Here is one of many links where the destruction of America is prophesied. This one was written by David Wilkerson in 1989.'
http://www.tscpulpitseries.org/english/1980s/ts890618.html
In his book "Set thy Trumpet to Thy Mouth" he prophesied that Russia would nuke the U.S. following the economic collapse of America. many others have made this same prophecy.
I am no longer a church goer and realize that the Bible is full of errors and contradictions, nonetheless I find such predictions quite disturbing. If you read the above article, you will see that it is very close to our situation in the U.S. at this time. |

Every 2 months someone predicts the end of the world. Been going on since the world began. No one has been right yet. It's really easy to cherry pick poetry and make it say anything you want. |

All we need now is for Ron Paul to start decorating his predictions with Bible verses. |

My prediction on when the collapse of society will occur: sometime between now and never. |

Here's probably one of the best of the end-of-times prediction books.
Shelby Corbitt predicted that the Rapture would happen by the end of 2007. Okay, a little wrong, but it's entertaining to read some of the amazon reviews.

The most disturbing part is the self-fullfilling prophecy irony of it. It is mostly evangelicals getting into the Republican Party and trying to get their beliefs and policies into the government. Bush is a prime example of a born again Christian with misled beliefs on how to run the world and government, and this has been the result of it. Add Palin to the mix, and I think their self-fullfulling prophecy of the destruction of America will be about complete. |

How could Russia attack the US without a retaliation?
However, what he has to say sounds very similar to this; http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=JqABQOAFkDc
If America doesn't repent and turn from its wickedness then this prophecy will come to pass. |

My pet iguana, Choad, recently fell into a trance, during which the bloated, putrescent corpse of Don Knotts emerged from an enormous chicken pot pie to inform said lizard that America would not, in fact, be faced with any such calamity. Choad then arose and relayed the information to me. Prophecy!
Prove him wrong, and by 'him' I refer to either Knotts or Choad; whichever is easier to discredit is an acceptable choice. |
