I wish the poll to be usefull for anyone being invaded by lots of recruiters at the beginning of their process. I found this site incredibly useful in everything contract/job/living related but a mixed bag with regards to recruitment people.
I know some may say that recruiters are not so important. However, some may have been really helpful and some downright difficult and rude.
Lets shed some light on the best (and not so best) recruiters...

Is worknplay an actual recruiter? I thought it was a website that posted jobs. |

They just did a summary review of most of the major recruiters on another ESL website like this and it got pulled!! Pissed me off as well cause I spent a good 30 minutes writing up reviews for the recruiters I have dealt with in the past!
Worknplay is an actual recruiting agency although they have one of the worst reps out there.
ESL Planet has probably the best rating, I hear nothing but good things from them although I have never dealt with them personally.
Don't go with a recruiter if you can help it. SO many jobs are now availabe it's not even funny. You could easily get a job without a recruiter if you are willing to network on your own. Not that I recommend you teach in Korea at this time anyhow. |

ESL PLANET is god when it comes to recruiters. As I have stated before in a previous post, Rowan and his associates took care of every imaginable need and question that I had. They talked to me personally on many occasions and I recieved answer's to my email within a couple of hours.
In the end, I am now in a job that I like, am respected and the best part, I am happy!
In short, no one else compares. |

I've said it so many times, ESL planet = Good
I had so many questions and emails about stuff they responded to all of them within a day. Usually within minutes that it was sent.
They take good care of you before, during, (I don't know about after I'm not at that stage yet).
Obviously people will say you don't need a recruiter but I think ESL-Planet is an exception to the rule. They will clear up any confusion you have about ANYTHING. They're fabulous really. |

I had a pretty good experience with Footprints... Told me everything they needed, when, where, why... Arranged for my pickup from the aiport to the SMOE orientation centre because I was coming late, bent over backwards to help me with my E-2... The only negative I have was that they held onto my file for about a week and a half before passing it onto the SMOE to see if the SMOE wanted to interview me... Not a huge deal... |

Many teachers go through smaller recruiters or find jobs on their own. |
