First, Hell's Highway. Just downloaded the torrent yesterday and installed it.
What a great game! This is coming from someone who is sick of WW2 shooters too. It's such a fresh and entertaining experience. There is a great torrent up (weighing in at about 4.5GB) that works perfectly for single player mode. If anyone is looking for a good way to kill eight or nine hours, this is it!
Second, Age of Chivalry. It's a Steam / HL2 based multiplayer mod. Very awesome. First person swordplay is long overdo. There is nothing like being able to scewer your opponents or get them with a well placed arrow. There's no magic, wizardy or RPG-style game elements either.
Give them a try! |

Don't forget Dystopia, a futuristic FPS based on cyberpunk (think Ghost in the Shell). It also includes stuff from William Gibson's Neuromancer where you can "hack" stuff in cyberspace or shoot up people in "meatspace". Not only the developers are going to release a new patch, but the most of the game is already been polished. |

Oh! Yes, I've played it. Was it officially released by Steam? A couple of mods recently (including Age of Chivalry and Insurgency) were released on Steam and because of that the amount of servers multiplied a hundred times. For example, when I used to play Insurgency I was able to get about ten servers total with two or three being located in Korea, China and Japan. Now I can choose from a list of about 100 servers, all with a ton of players.
Last time I played Dystopia was about six months ago so I should check that out soon to see what it's like. I think when I played it last there were only one or two servers avaliable with five or ten players.
Another awesome mod is Eternal Silence. No one plays it yet because it's in the early Beta stages still, but I managed to find a couple large servers awhile ago and had a great time. Space combat and infantry combat combined. Not really polished yet, though. |

No, not yet. It is probably around the same state as you last time played, but the developers already released patch 1.2 for testing, meaning expect 1.2 to be released to the public soon. |

1.2 seems to be a complete overhaul. I think I'll wait until that is released before I download it and learn how to play it. There will be so many gameplay changes that learning to play it now might just mess me up for when 1.2 comes out. Looks like a lot of fun! |

Would I be right in guessing you're Incognito84 on the local servers then?
EDIT: OH, and i *think* that 1.2 is the version that debut on steam. I used to play 1.1 / 1.11 before steam picked it up but gave up because of lack of other players. |

Is there a steam Korea Expat group made yet?
Thinking on that, I quickly made one!
"Ex-Pats Korea"
Join up guys, just so we can keep track of each other in game at least. Also, Incognito and I use Xfire for most of our gaming if anyone wants to meet up on that.

Ah, okay. I remember you... I think it was in Age of Chivalry in the boulder falling map. I remember because you were speaking English on a Korean server. It's rare.
Add me to steam if you want. Incognito84 is my Steam ID too. |
