Does anyone know the "Congratulations" song? When I first heard it, I thought it was some Korean song, because I initially only heard the beginning part of it. However, after hearing the whole thing I figured it was some love song which Koreans have adopted as a birthday song. I looked up the song. It was by Sir Cliff Richard.

Congratulations and celebrations
When I tell everyone that youre in love with me
Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know Im happy as can be
Who would believe that I could be happy and contented
I used to think that happiness hadnt been invented
But that was in the bad old days before I met you
When I let you walk into my heart
Congratulations and celebrations
When I tell everyone that youre in love with me
Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know Im happy as can be
I was afraid that maybe you thought you were above me
That I was only fooling myself to think youd love me
But then tonight you said you couldnt live without me
That round about me, you wanted to stay
Congratulations and celebrations
When I tell everyone that youre in love with me
Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know Im happy as can be
Congratulations and celebrations
When I tell everyone that youre in love with me
Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know Im happy as can be
I want the world to know Im happy as can be |

There are two things in this world that make me so angry that I literally see red. This song is one of them. Crown J is the other.
If Crown J were to cover this song, I'd go on a killing spree the likes of which this country has never seen before.
So *beep* Cliff Richard, Bill Martin, and Phil Coulter. And *beep* Crown J. And *beep* you for bringing this song up so late at night. Cuz I have to go to sleep now but you've gotten me all worked up. This song angries up my blood. |

Cliff Richard once dated possibly the biggest moose in the uk(and its full of mooses) Sue Barker. He recently released an autobiography admitting his friendship with a priest whom has lived with for ten years. The priest offers nothing more than spiritual guidance and business advice according to sir cliff |

Sue Barker is not a moose. She is a bit of posh and appeals to me cos she is always clearly hammered on A Question of Sport. The other woman the BBC use for sports is about 50 times uglier than Sue Barker. She really does have a face like a bulldog and doesnt hold a candle to our Sue.
Sir Cliff never hurt anyone. Never did anyone any good but never hurt anyone. Mistletoe and Wine is a great Christmas song when you change the words to 'With dogs on the fire and cats up the tree' |

I actually liked a few of Cliff Richard's songs, and, anyway, he was an all right singer for his time. He wasn't stellar, but he was a good and talented singer. Anyway, this song is a love song, so it's funny that it's used as a birthday song over here. Is that done in any other country like this? What's the story behind all that? |
