I don't see a problem with corporal punishment. Ain't nothing wrong with putting a little foot to ass. Taking a punch in the solar plexus will make a man out of you I always say.

I believe negative reinforcment has its merrits, just like positive reinforcments.

My parents always signed the form that allowed my schools to paddle me. I never got paddled.

Abolishing corporal punishment in the West has massively increased violence in schools and probably in society in general. Students are more likely to be assaulted by other students and teachers are more likely to be assaulted. Even the bullies are probably more likely to encounter violence from other bullies and from police and prison guards and other crims in later life.
