Ejaculate quantity only decreases slightly with age but found this on the web which is a bit disheartening:
"Finally, "the refractory period," or the time it takes to achieve another erection after ejaculation, increases with age. While a young man of 18 can often recover with an erection 15 minutes after sex, a man in his 50s may require 24 hours or more before he has another erection and he is interested in intercourse again."

I'd say it takes more time to recover and fill the tanks. And the timing thing you mentioned only applies on the "interest" side for me. No problems getting it up, but I found that after this past year, sex has become a lot more, "meh...."
Want to lower your sex drive? Get married!
I could also claim much of this is due to mental damage, as I have uni students texting me, begging me to excuse them from class because of menstrual cramps and visitors causing excessive bleeding. Yes, that's pretty close to what the messages say. 
They don't get an excuse, usually. |

| This is normal, folks. For males, your peak is at 18. For females, your peak is in your mid to late 30s. |

If you honestly believe this show is worth watching, then there's something wrong with you.

| I'm 34 and have yet to notice any such reduction. I think often the problem is the women older men hang around with, most of whom could inspire erectile dysfunction in a high-tensile steel rod. |

Even though your source is 'the web' I do think my refilling period is going up. Hasn't science done something about this? I guess if you're not interested in sex then you're not going to do something to make it interesting.
Viagra keeps it up, but does it increase your sex drive? I just built a new girlfriend, but I'd rather post on Dave's.

I think all men all different! its biology isnt.. we are all made differently
I know some guys in their 30's and 50's who are extremly horny all the time. A lot of guys here could get naked with a hot 18 year old girl and still not have amazing sex or a raging hard on compared to a night with your wife last winter.. so many factors play into it.. |
