I'm pretty tech savy until I have drank too much . I want to run dual monitors. I have the basic ddr3 Nvidia 8600gt graphic card and no on board graphics. How do I do this? I know that info on my part is lacking. |

plug both monitors in and go to your graphics control panel and adjust the settings so that you extend the desktop into the second monitor and then you are good to go. |

Same thing SuperHero said when I taught him.
(Before that I believe he used to say: "I don't understand why anybody would need two monitors.") |

Do modern video cards have plugs for two monitors? Like the kind that looks like a small parallel port? I've only had laptops for I guess six years now. |

Yea, modern video cards have 2 dvi-out connectors, most have s-video out, and some have hdmi-out as well. |
