I'll be going to Ko Samui in late December with my girlfriend. I want to stay at some place nice.

My budget is around $100 a night.

With that said, can anyone here recommend any hotels or resorts on the island that meet this price range?

Thanks in advance.

December = high season = book now if you want to stay somewhere nice.

Lamai is the nicer area. It will be pretty crowded around Christmas though.

My wife and I stayed at a place called the "Papillon." It was pretty nice, nothing fancy, and not terribly expensive. It was run by a couple of French guys, so there was good bakery and coffee in the morning.

We stayed here in February and loved it:

It's a walk away from the sea but has a great pool (better than the beach) and is really quiet and relaxing.

Whatever you do don't book at the airport. They get a commition.Either book online or go and have a look for yourself. You can sometimes get a bungalo for 500 baht a night if you're willing to shop around.
