What? Your interpretation is that a politician running for President of the US was purposefully mocking the American people?
I ask genuinely, because you seem intelligent. You're telling me Obama said this on purpose to create an effect that would damage his campaign. |

| Watching the video, it's quite obvious to me that he was making a joke. If your only exposure to Obama has been his full-scale national speeches, then you would probably miss his more deadpan humor. |
