Dutch and Claudette deserve their own show. I'm tired of Vic and his glaring. |
the guy that plays Dutch had a quirky character in a few eps of Sons of Anarchy... made me think of Dutch gone wrong |

There's some cross-over between the Shield and Sons of Anarchy in that they're both on the same network, and also they both have a street gang called 'the One Niners.'
I'd been kind of hoping for some character crossover, but I guess that can't happen now...unless Agent Cole was like Dutch's evil twin or something... |

I watched this weeks episode and WOW! All I can say is that Shane better run fast as Vic is going to catch him. What an exciting episode. It was sad to see Vic turn in his badge. |

I had never heard of Sons of Anarchy before, so I went to the wiki page. This is what I found:
Quote: |
Sons of Anarchy is an FX television series starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, and Katey Sagal about the lives of a close-knit motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in Northern California . In this story line of characters the main one is a huge faggot who likes fucking girls in the ass and has a younger son and has one skanky mother. Sons of Anarchy was created by Kurt Sutter, a former writer and producer on The Shield, another FX television drama. |

I assume that when I wake up in the morning, that will have been slightly altered. |

Just watched the brand new Sons Of Anarchy. If you think "Dutch's" character was unstable in Sons Of Anarchy, wait until you see the recent episode. |

Yeah, that was a star turn for sure. Yikes!
I'd have to say that show is winning me over now. At first I didn't like it much because I don't like bikers much, but it's getting more interesting for sure. |

The new Shield is amazing. If you've followed the show, what you see some of the characters do will blow you away.
One more episode. I can't even make a solid prediction about what's going to happen. |

I never watched it until I saw this thread. I don't usually watch TV. But it is a pretty intense show. I wonder if Vic will get whacked or go to prison? |

I was a fan of The Shield for the first couple of seasons. Then the show got stagnant for me.
I have to say, this season is one of the best season's of telivision history. Holy cow... just one more left. |

I'm going to try really really hard to not watch this current episode until the finale comes out, and then watch the both of them back to back.
I doubt I'll be able to hold out...
They've really done work this season. Nothing else of its particular quality on tv this year.
And hey, if you people get all sad when it finishes, you might try out Showcase's 'Brotherhood.' High quality crime/ political drama, very well acted. It ain't the shield, it ain't the wire, it ain't the sopranos, but it's got a nasty little charm all its own. |

Not to stray too far off topic, but I just read Gone Baby Gone by Dennis Lehane and the Midnight Gardener by George Pelecanos, both of whom were writers for the Wire. Picked both up at What the Book. Not quite the same as these shows, but make for a good surrogate. |

The 2 hour episode was good. I won't give any spoilers, but you'll see some pretty bad things happen. You feel sorry for people you shouldn't feel sorry for and you cringe at some of the betrayal.
I wanted a different outcome for Vic, something more final as in life or death.
I wanted to see the outcome of the mayoral race.
The show could easily go onto an other season due to the open ends, but this is all we get. Unless they give Dutch a spin-off. Part of me would like to have found out Dutch was a murderer. We don't really know for sure that he's not.
They certainly didn't leave anyone on a happy note. |

I give the above thread a SPOILER ALERT.
I'm off home now after a long day to watch the final episode. Stoked!
Hey, did anyone else catch the "King of Kong*" reference in the "Possible Kill Screen" title? I was half expecting Milly Bitchell to show up as a murder victim. That would've been cool.
*awesomest documentary abuot Donkey Kong ever. |
