Is it just me or are the ajosshis getting louder and louder and if possible more hostile and aggressive? My eyes and ears need a vacation from all the verbal and physical abuse I've had the misfortune of seeing lately.

I've noticed a disturbing increase in yelling, shoving, pushing and threatening behavior. This is the lowest level of human indecency I've ever experienced.

Korea does not need any more street ajosshis. Heartbreaking news is that a few years from now just about every street of Seoul will be filled with single men. The male surplus has already started manifesting itself, but this is only the tip of the ice berg. By 2010, there'll be an estimated 500 000 hungry dogs roaming the streets.

Anyway, be nice to each other!

It's not directed towards me. They just yell and attack each other.
Even though this abuse has always been random I feel that's it's getting more and more random.

And it's not only taking place in my neighborhood, I see it pretty much everywhere I go.

Glad you're doing just fine though.

Only violence ive seen in the last few months is a dude kicking a taxi drivers door because he refused to pick him up on a friday night..and the following scuffle which involved a lot of shouting and pushing..

and i saw a dude kick and punch his wife yesterday Confused

I very rarely see violence here..maybe i live a sheltered life...or i life in a classy place?

Haha try the tennis club on tournament night... I swear, I never go hungry here. I'm chilling with these 6 adjosshis and I'm like 'hay, you want more soju? I can go get some!' 'Sure! One more bottle!!' (it's always one more bottle)... My team ended up taking the B class trophy and 250kW..

In the meantime, getting from one side of the club to the other was like running the gauntlet. I've got the soju tucked away, and it's all 'You want to eat this?? Come here!! Eat some of this! This is my younger brother (followed by AIIIIIEEESH and a lot of back slapping)... Then the soju comes out, and I'm pouring soju down my gullet like it's my job. I've got dudes with a mouthful of bulgogi going 'han-bon! han-bon!' (Just try it!!).... We were gonna leave that place at 6, I didn't get home until 10...

Good times to be had! You drink too much mekju, eat too much gook-su, it's no problem! Find yourself a spot in the shade and pass out! Someone will kick you in the ribs when your number is up.

Damn I love the country life...

It's the economy.

Imagine how stressed you'd be if you had to return home after blowing 1 million won on a room salon hooker and had to face a screaming wife who complains that you have to make more money. You're now forced to spend 1 million won on higher-class hoookers because the police are cracking down on all of the cheap prostitutes in areas like Jangnandong, Seoul, but leaving the upscale Kangnam hooker salons untouched.

I bet you'd be pissed, too, if you were the average Korean male.

If you had even the smallest inkling of how stressful this can be to a Korean man, you'd shut up and cut them some slack. Evil or Very Mad

You really think the average Korean man (who makes probably around 2 million a month) routinely drops 1 million won on hookers?

M-su is Kyopo - his "Englishee" is not that good - he obviously didn't understand the "purple nut" joke (doesn't even realise it was making fun of him)

I don't think he's Kyopo - at least, I haven't got that vibe. He and I have exhanged several communications, and he seems pretty whitebread to me.

I like to wear patterns that clash. I have a greasy side part and a bad hair cut. I like to eat dog soup. When I drink soju I make a nasty noise.
I like to throw up everywhere. When I go to a restaurant I let my kids run riot. I go to room salons and feel up the girls working there. I like fighting for the bill. I shout in public and sssshhhh the foreigners. I wear a nasty see through white dress shirt and you can see my undershirt . I smoke thin cigarettes and hold them like a pansy.
