What have you got? Keith Olbermann? Not good enough.

Throughout this thread, my point has never been to prove that this happened. I was assuming it had happened when I made various speculations about certain aspects of the case, but if the whole thing turns out to be a hoax, I can certainly accept that too. |

| That is good. Especially "the-grandmother-had-a-lot-of-help" part. Because I would not want to admit that a grandmother beat me in a fight, either. |

I am not sure I trust Olbermann anymore than I trust the Swift Boat Veterans. It appears Olbermann claimed someone on the Republican side said "kill Obama", and that's apparently not true. I do not approve, at all, of people lying in order to score points. It's very repugnant.
If Olbermann is purposely lying, he should be canned. I don't care what side anyone is on when they do that. However, Olbermman did have a point when he said Sarah Palin seemed to ignore prejudiced comments against Obama and people calling him a terrorist. I do find that disturbing, to be honest. It would seem she is appealing to many intolerant people. |

Baiting? I got it from B. Obama's webpage.

Congratulations. You've hit upon one among many salient differences between liberals and conservatives: we are confident enough to laugh at ourselves, but those on the right only know sarcasm, snide remarks, finger-pointing and name-calling, and in the end ... racial caricatures on faux food stamps with pictures of fried chicken and watermelon. And shouts from the crowd, calling for the death of a rival, with scant little effort made to calm the calls for blood and bring sanity back to the race.
The GOP has had its chance, and they've bollocked things up good. Gonna tale some work to fix everything got broken in the last 8 years ... but we are up for it. |

Bobster...
Nevermind. You would not follow. Not because you could not follow, incidentally. Just that you would not. You two are senior citizens and fixed in your ways, ossified even, by now.
Carry on. |

Glad you could drop by.
Seriously, folks, you've been a great crowd. Wish I could take ya home, but don't worry, we'll be here all week and several more until November, and after that we'll be here another 4 years at least ...

Re: "real or a false flag?"
Are you kidding me? Are you not even willing to take credit that some B. Obama partisans are going to Republican rallies to heckle the candidates while they speak, to bait some Republican partisans with camcorders, or to generally taunt them by chanting "Obama! Obama!" until they provoke a suitable, newsworthy response that proves, once again, that all Republicans are racist thugs?
I do not know whether this is real of a false flag, Ya-ta Boy. But given the pattern that I have seen unfolded over the last week or two, and given that the press release on this "story" seems to have gone direct to K. Olbermann, I would suggest that it was probably real -- that is, a real, nice set-up that went bad. But let us keep this in perspective: how bad could getting beat up by a grandmother and her henchmen be?
"It's been reported to the police," you claim? Is there a police report? That would certainly settle it. |
Why do you keep spouting this nonsense of people not being responsible for their own actions. Apparently every right wing douche who does something reprehensible is "baited" in your mind though you never offer one shred of proof. |

| What is most interesting about this thread is not whether the rumor turns out to be true or not - what's interesting (and somewhat sad) is that given the nature of the GOP and the way the McCain supporters have behaved ... what's interesting is that it is quite plausible. |
