I know I need to get a plate and insurance if I get a scooter 125cc...

The plate i assume I ask for at the DMV, but what is the best way for a foreigner to obtain basic insurance?

The Daelim Freewing(?) used is pretty good for the larger comfy kind.
HSRC Wiser seems like a suzuki 125gsr copy...it looks very sporty but small.

Hmm....

well, i don't think that being insured is a must policy for foreigners to drive in Korea. so I suppose you don't need to worry about insurance policy as long as you are a confident driver

Is that really true for us?

Even if it isn't, I'm sure many people ride em without insurance...so what happens if you get in an accident? I don't wanna make things complicated with the Korean law...

as you know, dealing with car accidents can be really complicated. i am not sure how long you plan to drive here, but unless it is the long-haul, just do so without an insurance policy. but if you think you need to have one for the worse case scenario, call AIG.

The cs number is 1588-9898

let me know if you need further help :)
