I'm supposed to give a special lesson on New Zealand culture. To actually convey what New Zealanders have become like would be too embarassing, but I thought maybe I could talk about popular sports (rugby and cricket) traditional foods (roast mutton and pavalova), different locations and so on. Anyone have any other ideas? |

NZers come from pioneering stock so:
we love DIY and we're good at it
we're not scared of bugs and other animals
we'll try anything once
we dislike extreme diparities in wealth
we enjoy hunting/fishing/shooting/the outdoors
we aren't obsessed with our appearance
there you go, koreans will be amazed by all of those |

Yes, I could mention all those things as traditional New Zealand values. I'm not sure how relevant they still are in the current freak show though. |

Can you elaborate on the "current freak show?" |

I don't know who/what any of these are except for women's suffrage, and I don't know how that relates to New Zealand
New Zealand is famous because Lord of the Rings was shot there, they have lots of sheep, I think maybe it has a good school system? |

Home and Away is Aussie!
Replace it with Shortland Street and she'll be right. |

Play some music, like 'Welcome Home' by Dave Dobbyn or 'Don't Dream it's over' by Crowded House.
Maybe you show them the lyrics and all sing together too. |
