Hi there, so I'm about to sign a new contract, and was just wondering about vacation pay. If my normal working hours are 2-9, and during vacation (two months or so of the year) the hours are 9-6, should I be getting paid overtime for this?
Thanks for any info |

Krissy, you'll get a thousand different answers on here to that question but as you work in a hagwon, the only one who knows the answer is your hagwon boss.
The common sense idea would be to pay you for office hours during that period but please don't make any false assumptions. Ask him/her outright in a very polite way. "emmm I was just wondering, if it's not too much trouble if you could possibly tell me about the vacation pay, grovel, grovel.
BTW are you sure those weeks are in fact in blocks? Most hagwon holidays are to be taken as individual days!! |
