Couple quick questions for people who know stuff ^^

I was wondering, what are the hours of operation for the subway system in Seoul ? Is it 24/7? or is does it close at a certain time period in the night ... ???

ALso, where is Mok-Dong in Seoul ? and is it a nice place ? lol

use google. There's a map you can click on that will tell you how long it takes to get to and fro by subway. Seoul subway + interactive should get you to it.

It's a nice enough place. Not an entertainment mecca or anything. Close (by subway) to other fun spots like Honggik and Shinchon.

Lived there for a year. Mok Dong is a big area. Omokyo station is next to Mokdong station and has the main shopping area. Aren't the subways closed from midnight to 5:30 or thereabouts? Look at subway map, west on purple line number 5 , about 5 stops from Kimpo airport. Can take bus directly to Hongdae/Shincheon/Ewha, better than subway transfers usually.

I stayed in Mokdong for a week last November. It's a nice area with friendly people and nice shopping and dining. The KB bank branch in the shopping center with VIPS and Jackie Chan's is one of the very best. I know for a lot of people it's a Rolling Eyes , but there's a 24 hour McDonald's that serves breakfast near Mokdong station.

I think the Line 5 subway runs from 5 a.m. until almost 1 a.m. but be careful because some of the other lines close sooner. I used to hook up with a Milf in Dogok on the Bundang line and it seemed like I had to hurry to make it to Line 2 on the way back home, because it seemed like it shuts down right after midnight. But Line 5 stays open until almost 1.
